Are you looking for and drink that is delicious, refreshing, and healthy? Well I have the perfect recipe for you! My cortisol cocktail is like it says in the title, blissful. With notes of lavender and hidden ashwagandha powder in this cocktail, you will certainly be doing yourself a favor with this relaxing drink.
Another bonus is how fast this drink is to make. It only takes about 10 minutes at most to make, and that’s even after using the fine mesh strainer to separate the seeds and pulp from the juice.
This drink was inspired by my love for fun, but healthy, drinks! I also enjoy being able to make my family good, refreshing drinks too. My cortisol cocktail recipe is the perfect thirst quencher for a hot summer day or really anytime you need something light and reviving.
What is a cortisol cocktail?
A cortisol cocktail, sometimes called an adrenal cocktail, is, first of all, a mocktail. It’s called “cortisol,” because some of the ingredients in the drink are known to balance hormones or cortisol levels.
I don’t know about you, but I have been seeing lots of these adrenal/cortisol cocktails on different social media platforms such as- Instagram and TikTok. In fact, that is how I got inspiration to create my own recipe. I think that it’s really neat how people seem to be educating themselves on how to be more mindful about what they eat and drink, which is why I think that this drink “trend” is so popular. Honestly, I hope that this trend stays because I actually happen to really like it!
What does Strawberry Lavender Bliss Cortisol Cocktail taste like?
Additionally, this cortisol cocktail is sweet, from the strawberries and honey, and floral, from the lavender, with a bit of sour and acidity, depending on the size of the lemon you use.
Also, you can get some extra flavor by garnishing this cortisol cocktail with fresh mint leaves. The mint leaves actually really compliment the other flavors; while it’s optional to garnish with mint leaves, I recommend them. As far as tasting the ashwagandha, you can’t really taste it unless you add more then the amount I have in this recipe.

Some of the benefits of lavender include: mood boost and promotion of natural melanin production, which helps with sleep. In fact, lavender is perfect for times when life just seems more stressful. And, it adds a whole new depth of flavor to the cortisol cocktail. So it’s a win, win!

Tips for making Cortisol Cocktail: Strawberry Lavender Bliss
Using a fine mesh strainer is optional, but it does give the cortisol cocktail a smoother consistency.
If you can, use frozen strawberries if strawberries aren’t in season. This will give you fresher tasting strawberries because strawberries are usually picked and frozen when in season.
If you are not a fan of lemon juice, you can either not use a lemon at all or use a smaller amount of lemon juice then the recipe calls for.
If you would like some extra electrolytes, you could add either a pinch of fine sea salt or Himalayan salt or trace minerals.
For an extra way to step up your cortisol cocktail, you can make a sugar or salt rim. All you have to do is wet the rim with lemon juice, roll the glass in a shallow dish that has sugar or salt, let dry, and shake off any access sugar or salt. To read a more in depth tutorial, click here.
Lastly, this is a reminder that infants, under the age of one, can’t have honey because it could lead to infant botulism.
Ingredient Variations
Instead of honey, you could use agave syrup.
Don’t have a lemon for the lemon juice? Use lime juice instead.
Also, coconut water is a good substitute for regular water and will provide additional nutrients. However, please note that the drink probably won’t taste quite the same.

Blender
Citrus Juicer (Can also just cut in half and squeeze by hand.)
Measuring Cups and Spoons
Ingredients
1 Cup of hulled strawberries (Can be fresh or frozen.)
1 Small lemon- juiced (Plus extra if you’d like a sugar/salt rim)
1 Cup of filtered water
2 Tablespoons of raw honey
1 Teaspoon of ashwagandha
8 Drops of lavender extract
A few fresh mint leaves (Optional)
How to make Cortisol Cocktail: Strawberry Lavender Bliss
Start by adding strawberries, lemon juice, water, raw honey, ashwagandha, and lavender extract to a blender.
Next, blend until everything is well combined. (I used the “extract” button on my blender.)
Then, strain the mixture through a fine mesh strainer. This will remove the seeds and pulp.
Pour your cortisol cocktail in your favorite glass over ice. Garnish with some fresh mint leaves (optional) and enjoy your refreshing strawberry lavender bliss cortisol cocktail!
How to Store
You can store this cortisol cocktail for a few days in the fridge in a bottle with a lid. However, I wouldn’t recommend storing for more then three days.
Like most food and beverages, this cortisol cocktail tastes best when you drink it the day it’s made.
Additionally, you could also freeze your cortisol cocktail. Make sure that you get a freezer safe, airtight container with a lid that securely fits on the container.
Note that some of the ingredients might be altered because of the freezing process. If the drink happens to separate, let it thaw and stir it back to a uniform consistency.
