Notes

How to Store
Fridge: Store in an air-tight container in the fridge for 4-5 days. Just be sure to give a good stir before serving.
Helpful Tips and Tricks
Better if chilled: While you can serve the dip immediately, the flavor actually gets better if you let it sit in the fridge for at least 30 minutes.
Consistency: If you prefer a thinner dip, try adding a teaspoon of milk or heavy cream to the dip.
Fresh herbs: If you have a garden or fresh herbs on hand, feel free to use them! A good rule of thumb is to use 3x the amount of fresh herbs as you would dried. For instance, 1 tablespoon of fresh dill instead of 1 teaspoon of dried.
Over-mixing: Be careful not to over-mix. Over-mixing can cause the dip to become too watery. Mix until just combined.
Temperature Matters: This dip tastes best cold. So if you are bringing the dip somewhere, try placing the serving bowl into a larger bowl filled with ice to keep it cool.
Ingredient Variations
Instead of sour cream, use Greek yogurt in a 1:1 ratio. Just be sure that the Greek yogurt is full-fat and unflavored.
Don't have garlic salt? If you have garlic powder and regular salt, you can add those 2 ingredients instead! Do a 1/4 tsp of salt and 1/2 tsp of garlic powder.
Add a couple drops of lemon juice to brighten the flavor profile of the dip. This step is completely optional.
Lastly, add chopped green onion, fresh parsley, olive oil, or even crumbled feta cheese to enhance the flavor even more!
