1Cupof Half and Half or Heavy Whipping Cream or even Milk
3Tablespoonsof Cacao Powder or Cocoa Powder
Splash of Vanilla Extract
Dash of Cinnamon
Pinchof Sea Salt or Himalayan Salt- Optional
Dash of Nutmeg- Optional
Preferred Sweetener to Taste (optional)
Instructions
Start by adding the bone broth and half and half into a pan on medium low heat. Then add the cacao powder, vanilla extract, cinnamon, salt (optional), and nutmeg (optional).
Next, whisk everything together and bring to a slight simmer to dissolve the cacao powder. Keep whisking to incorporate everything together. You may notice some little cacao powder balls start to form, just let it keep simmering and they will eventually dissolve.
After everything is mixed together, remove the bone broth hot chocolate from the heat, let it cool down, and then serve with your favorite hot chocolate toppings and any kind of your preferred sweetener. I personally love maple syrup in this bone broth hot chocolate!
